Hey, fellow bookworms! I felt that it was time for a quick update, since I haven’t blogged in about a week. I’m currently on book #4 out of my 100 book pledge — only 96 more to go! So far, I’ve read Every Thing On It (see my review below), Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood, and A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway (1 non-fiction out of 10 down!) I’m still absorbing A Moveable Feast, which I absolutely loved. My next book is going to be The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, which is the Dog Ears Book Club pick for this month. I would have read a LOT more, but I’ve also been busy writing away…

In other news, one of my short stories will be published in Dragnet, a Canadian literary magazine, on the 21st of this month! Exciting. There will be a launch party for the 4th issue, and I’ve been invited to do a reading. To my friends in TO, if you’re available, it will be at The Academy of the Impossible, 231 Wallace St. (Bloor & Lansdowne), at 9pm — readings start at 10. I’m nervous about reading, so it would be nice to see some familiar faces. That’s all for now!
